Tulsa Land Surveyor Survey Referral Network (918) 000-0000
Referral service. We are not a surveying firm and do not perform survey work. We connect Oklahoma property owners with independently licensed professional land surveyors.

Editorial Policy

How the writing on this site gets made, and the lines we do not cross.

A lot of what gets published about land surveying online is thin, recycled, or written to rank rather than to inform. We are trying to do the opposite, and it seems fair to state the standard we are holding ourselves to so you can tell us when we miss it.

What we aim for

  • Specific over general. Oklahoma specifics wherever they matter, rather than interchangeable copy that could describe any state.
  • Plain language. Written for property owners, not for surveyors. Where a technical term is unavoidable we explain it.
  • Useful even if you never call us. If a page only makes sense as a sales pitch, it is not doing its job.
  • Honest about uncertainty. Where the answer depends on facts we cannot know, we say so instead of guessing.

What we will not publish

  • Credentials, licenses or certifications we do not hold
  • Reviews or testimonials that are not real
  • A physical address or years in business that we cannot back up
  • Specific dollar figures presented as if they applied to every parcel
  • Anything presented as legal or professional advice about a particular property

On pricing

We deliberately do not publish flat prices for surveys. A number low enough to attract clicks would be wrong for most parcels, and finding that out after you called feels like a bait and switch because it is one. Instead we explain what actually drives cost so you can judge whether a quote is reasonable. That page is here.

Sources

Where we describe standards, statutes or agency requirements we work from the primary source: the published standard, the statute itself, or the agency’s own material. Where a topic is genuinely complicated, such as mineral rights in Osage County, we describe the general framework and point you toward the professionals who can advise on your situation.

Corrections

If something on this site is wrong, out of date, or unclear, we want to know. Surveyors and attorneys who spot an error are especially welcome to say so, and we will fix it rather than argue about it. Use the contact page or call the number listed there.

Standing reminder: everything here is general information. Your boundary is a question only a licensed surveyor working your parcel can answer.
